Muggle

The scenic beauty, the lush green rain forest soaked in a breezy water and rare species of orchids were ecstatic and attracted many tourists. The remotely located Rumi hill was a pearl of western ghats. The serenity with which it stands reminds of wast knowledge of saint  Rumi. It was that time of the year when people from far off land visited the place. Each visitor might have spent great deal of sum to be in this place, as the hill is accessible only for one month. The month can be called as the month of blessings, as humans from far off lands blessed their presence here. The tourist praised this pice of land as 'peace of land', poets articulated as part of heavens bestowed on earth, geologist were astonished and philosophers were at loss of ideas. Although Rumi hill was rare with wild predators,
but it was in abundance of other flora and fauna.

In the midst of this heavenly land lived a care taker of Rumi hill Ramesh and his pet pup Pinto. Ramesh was an appointed state forest guard for Rumi hills. The supplies were transported to him every 3 months by the government. Since he had no other option to live and earn outside he was content to be at Rumi hill. Although Ramesh felt disgusted at times on his life, he was happy in the month of May when the Rumi hill was open for visitors.
May was always a month of feast for both Ramesh and Pinto as they get to taste fine cooked items from different parts of the world. And moreover Ramesh was appreciated and lifted to high heavens by tourists with finely weaved sentences of praise. Pinto received much needed affectionate love from almost every age grouped people, who visited the jungle.

As soon as the month of May ended, Rumi hill was disconnected from  rest of the world. It was now a lonely planet with only Ramesh and Pinto left behind amidst aliens of jungle. The adored jungle is now dreaded beast, as the loneliness and stillness in the forest created depraved feelings.

Ramesh who's only companion Pinto had developed a great loveable affection towards her master. Ramesh who had not much to do apart from preparing for his daily routined work and food, had plenty of time. It was that time of the year, when the loneliness had engulfed the Rumi hill in its ghostly fist.  According to Ramesh's calculation  it must be 22nd August, if he has not missed any date. Monsoon had left its cozy environment behind on Rumi hill and rain was expected more often than any other time. Adding to spectre of loneliness, jungle was buried in the darkness of the evening and spook of rain created by phantom of dark clouds. Ramesh was used to these conditions and he had no horror in his heart, however he had great deal of emptiness which had depressive feelings in him. As the chill air drifted through the forest terrible amount of cold was created, and Pinto had to run inside the home to help himself from cold. In the home Ramesh was completely covered with blanket, which he got as a gift from one of the visitor in the month of May. Pinto snuffing through the door plunged to Ramesh's bed and encircled her body to generate heat.

As both were laying on bed, Pinto was sniffing for some unrealistic adventure but still din't dared to move around. Ramesh cringed on Pinto's hairy skin as it had more comfort than the blanket. The seat of both continued for hours and eventually Pinto had closed her eyes. Ramesh was completely  lost in some thoughts and he couldn't get sleep even after trying it many times. Ramesh's thoughts carried him from philosophy, history,  politics and what not. As time passed thoughts were reconstructed from long winded ideas to personnel impositions. The loneliness had created many crooked thoughts and revulsion about his life. The nausea continued as he thought of different phases of his life and eventually lost his humanly consciousness to thoughts. His mind was emptied with  intimate interaction he had years ago, and lamented on the lonely life he is in to now. Suddenly his eyes were staged on Pintos curved body. The drift of thoughts and delinquent mind of Ramesh ordered his organs to move swiftly, and in next moment he had no cloth on his lower body. Pinto felt some one dragging her by rear legs and it was Ramesh's firm hands. Conjointly the Rumi hill was reverberated by the shriek yap yelp and yowl of Pinto, which created resonating distress in the environment.
The serine backdrop of Rumi hill rain forest experienced similar sounds many times.
